Ron Surz asked  “Can Zero Fee Ever Be Real”.  My answer is a resounding, “Yes!”  In fact that’s exactly what  we’re doing at THE MONEYCULTURE INITIATIVE.   Our singular mission is to improve financial and investing knowledge.  We do that directly to the public by providing a continual flow of unbiased expertise about financial principles in seminars, public presentations, papers, articles, newsletters and online courses. We will suggest to you what to invest in and where you can get it directly and inexpensively We also endow scholarships and support other educational organizations that advance improved financial literacy.   We exist because of donations, so we are seeking to partner with professionals, organizations and individuals who will become Financial Literacy advocates by supporting us and our mission.

We have been IN SEARCH OF THE ETHICAL ADVISOR  this year, and we are finding them.  In addition to meeting the ethical criteria we have laid out here several times, we are asking Advisors to donate a portion of their time each year to deliver their investment advice and expertise to the general public, regardless of their financial circumstances, for free. Through a network of Ethical Advisors that we are building, the public can turn to the professionals for help at designated times, without an expectation of paying high fees for it.

I hear some scoffers saying Advisors will never do that.  And, I have to say, you’re wrong.  Without making any public announcement (until now) we already have more than a dozen pledged to commit to the mission.  Please realize that the ethical advisor has a long history of giving back—to their community, charity, church or cause.  I think it’s about time they were recognized for their good deeds.  And, believe me, we’re going to do just that.  In fact, if they become an advocate for our Movement, we pledge to become an advocate for them.

Watch this space the rest of this year and meet some of our ethical advisor partners.

And, by the way, if you are an ethical advisor and you would like to help us advance financial education, and help people who will appreciate your expertise, please contact us.

Now Open for You:

Age Sage, a “to retirement and through retirement” Robo analyst for investors that sets itself apart by customizing allocations to Age and Risk at a very low price. All other asset allocation services are expensive and use risk-based models only, generally offering a half dozen models and jamming users into one of them.

Age Sage effectively supports thousands of models , with a different set of risk models for each age. We also allow the user to choose a platform, like Vanguard or Fidelity. Importantly, solutions default to “Least Expensive” which produces multi-asset global portfolios that cost less than 6 bps.  Compare this to other multi-asset portfolios that cost north of 100 bps.
